For accommodation needs, please contact at any stage of the hiring process.Visit our Careers at CLBC page to learn more about working at CLBC, what we offer, and tips for the interview process.The Role:As a Learning and Development Advisor at CLBC, you will lead an organizational learning portfolio and be responsible for full-cycle instructional design, facilitation of learning, and development of programs and courses, as well as ongoing course/content maintenance. You will ensure that departments and regions support and drive organization-wide learning through their ongoing activities. Key responsibilities:Engaging with internal organizational clients to determine learning/training needs and collaboratively develops strategies for continuous quality improvement in training delivery that support the strategic plan, vision and values of CLBC.Collaborate with the Associate Manager, Corporate Learning, fellow Learning & Development Specialists and/or other members of the Organizational Development & Change Management teams to continually refine best practices in training consultationAnalyzing and synthesizing information from SME, PPMO office and project leads to understand training requirements Researching information to determine, apply, and promote best practice within the organization in terms of development and delivery of adult learning as requiredCreating necessary resources to support learning and development, including but not limited to: learning guides, learning/job aids, facilitation guides, training manuals Delivering effective training to adult learners using various training delivery methods that include (but are not limited to): classroom-based, virtual classroom, eLearning, discussion forums and blended learning modalitiesWhat you will bring:Bachelor's degree in a related field, with education in adult learningA minimum of two years' work experience designing, delivering and facilitating trainingExperience in project management considered an assetA relevant equivalent combination of education, work experience and training may also be consideredPreference will be given to candidates who possess the BC Instructor Diploma or similar qualifications or endorsementWe're also looking for an advisor who has:Knowledge of: adult education principles, concepts, methodologies and techniques, how to deliver training 1:1, as well as small and large groups both in-person and virtuallyAn understanding of basic principles of project management and change managementWorking knowledge and understanding of content authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, Captivate) Understanding of virtual training environments for technical systems/software-based coursesStrong MS Office skills, particularly in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, computer competence and the ability to use media effectivelyAbility to influence and work effectively with all levels of the organizationBenefits: A rewarding career at CLBC comes with great benefits, including:Employer-paid extended health and dental planA BC Public Service Pension plan with employer contributionsGenerous vacation plus additional personal daysPaid maternity/parental/adoption leaveLife insurance, paid sick days, and, if needed, long-term disabilityWellness supports, including an Employee and Family Assistance ProgramProfessional development funds and resources to encourage continuous learning and skill developmentAccess to government discounts on travel, cell phones, and more!Additional Info:Successful applicants are subject to a Criminal Record CheckAn eligibility list for internal candidates may be establishedClosing date: September 18, 2026If your application is shortlisted, you'll be invited to an interview where you'll have the opportunity to share more about your experience.
