Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing non-medical personal support services, life-skills support, and light housekeeping duties to support individuals in the transition from hospital to the community. Such duties are carried out in accordance with Client Service plan, laws and regulations governing service provision.

Personal Support Aide
Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, this position is responsible for regular monitoring and provision of support to clients to enable them to live as independently as possible. Duties include monitoring, observing, assisting with and participating in housekeeping and homemaking activities, recreational and social activities. This includes but is not limited to:
·Housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning showers, sinks and toilets in both common areas and client rooms.
·Laundry including washing, drying, folding, ironing and putting laundry away.
·Making beds and changing linens as required.
·Assisting Recreation staff with social and recreational activities with clients such as accompanies clients on walks and other social outings.
·Supporting clients with personal care activities, including lifting and transferring clients (training provided).

Hourly Rate: $22.50
