This pivotal role is focused on driving the organization's merchandising strategy and transformation, with a strong emphasis on redefining the product proposition to be more data-driven, customer-centric, and aligned with the company's values of premium quality, local sourcing, and community impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the shift to a strategic, insight-led merchandising model, championing the modernization of practices, and elevating the capability and ambition of the merchandising function. Key responsibilities include owning the product strategy, leading the private label strategy and growth, and driving category management to enhance commercial performance. Critical leadership capabilities include driving results, collaborating, and influencing, and leading people. The role requires a candidate with a strong educational background, an advanced degree is preferred, and a set of personal characteristics that include high integrity, a strong intellect, well-developed emotional intelligence, a positive attitude, and a servant leadership approach.
