THE ROLE

As a Principal Architect, you'll play a pivotal role within the Enterprise Architecture team, shaping the direction and approach to design, build, and evolve a scalable portfolio of solutions.

Your responsibilities include leading technical assessments, providing guidance on architectural decisions, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead technical assessments for new and ongoing initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand solution details and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying technology opportunities and risks, proposing solutions to achieve or mitigate them.
  • Define clear domain boundaries and responsibilities, considering organizational impact.
  • Ratify new business cases, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources within the technical organization.
  • Support investment prioritization of technical roadmap items and capabilities.
  • Advocate for best reuse of technology at a global level and identify opportunities for consolidation.
  • Provide guidance on integrating acquired technology into the organization's landscape.
  • Elevate software quality through development and advocacy of architectural best practices.
  • Define the alignment of architecture within the overall software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Contribute to technical articles or white papers based on experience to advocate best practices, technology, and skills.
  • Stay current with technology trends, disseminate information, and identify practical applications of emerging technologies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Proven experience with architectural patterns and technologies to meet business needs.
  • Experience in analyzing functional and non-functional requirements and estimating engineering effort.
  • Expertise in domain modeling, analysis, and mapping to business capabilities.
  • Proficiency in software for creating strategic / architectural documentation.
  • Familiarity with high-availability and resilience engineering patterns, secure design principles, and threat modeling.
  • Foundational knowledge of software development lifecycles, automation, and application monitoring.
