Job description

Our client, a company known for its positive work environment, is seeking a Purchaser to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that believes in motivating people through happiness and fostering a healthy work atmosphere. You will play a crucial role in applying purchasing principles, negotiating with vendors, and managing inventory to ensure the right products are available at the right time and price.

Work Arrangement: In-office in Vaughan, ON.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply purchasing principles to acquire goods and services.

  • Negotiate effectively with vendors, including those overseas.

  • Manage inventory to ensure optimal stock levels, pricing, and timely delivery to warehouses.

  • Collaborate with the purchasing manager.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a beginner to intermediate purchasing role.

  • Basic working knowledge of purchasing principles.

  • Open-minded disposition.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Comfortable with Excel and ERP systems.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Mandarin language skills are considered an asset.
