THE ROLE
As the Senior Director/Director, Solution Delivery, Finance Technology, you will:
- Own the Finance technology strategy and roadmap, partnering with business leaders to identify innovative solutions that meet business needs for today and tomorrow, and leading the business case, ROI, and total cost of ownership across the portfolio.
- Lead vendor selection, negotiation, and governance, including SOW, MSA, and DPA oversight in partnership with Legal, while managing platform budgets and holding partners accountable to performance and service commitments.
- Direct the translation of business requirements into scalable, user-centric solution designs that meet SOX, internal control, audit, and data governance requirements.
- Oversee the full solution delivery lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring build, configuration, and integration align with technical requirements and integrate seamlessly with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure structured testing strategies are in place to validate functionality, protect data integrity, and resolve defects prior to delivery.
- Lead the deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of Finance technology solutions, including system monitoring, license optimization, and resolution of technical escalations.
- Identify, evaluate, and govern the responsible application of AI and intelligent automation (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, agentic workflows, and Power Automate) to improve Finance processes, controls, and productivity.
- Lead change management, training, and enablement to drive user adoption, and build and maintain trusted relationships with Finance and cross-functional business stakeholders as a strategic partner, translating technical decisions into executive-ready recommendations and keeping stakeholders engaged and aligned throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Represent the Finance function on company-wide projects and initiatives that originate outside of Finance, actively participating to ensure the Finance department's requirements, controls, and interests are understood, protected, and reflected in the final solution.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The Senior Director/Director, Solution Delivery, Finance Technology has:
- Proven and best-in-class skills, applicable certifications, education and/or experience in10+ years of progressive experience delivering and operating enterprise Finance technology solutions, including significant experience leading teams and large-scale, cross-functional programsExperience gained within a retail or consumer-facing environment is an assetProven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, maximizing results across planning, hiring, onboarding, evaluating, developing, engaging, and retaining talentHands-on experience with enterprise Finance platforms such as ERP (SAP ECC/S4HANA), financial close, procure-to-pay, tax, and reporting solutionsProven experience delivering or overseeing at least one full-lifecycle SAP implementation or S/4HANA transformation in a retail or high-volume transactional environmentExperience with two or more finance technology solutions such as Blackline, Ariba, Concur, OneStream, or VertexFamiliarity with retail-specific financial processes such as merchandise accounting, inventory valuation, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and multi-entity consolidationKnowledge of the fashion or specialty retail industry, including its competitive landscape, business drivers, and how finance technology supports a fast-paced retail environmentDemonstrated success owning technology roadmaps, business cases, ROI, and total cost of ownership, and managing platform budgets and vendor spend.Strong understanding of SOX, internal control, audit, and data governance requirements.Extensive hands-on experience managing external vendors and delivery partners in an outsourced or co-sourced model, including systems integrators, implementation partners, and managed service providers, and directing their day-to-day work to meet quality, timeline, and budget commitments.Familiarity with AI/ML and automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate) and their responsible application to enterprise Finance
