Job description
Clinical Computing provides a web based Electronic Medical Records (EMR) solution called clinicalvision, designed specifically for the renal market and the management of clinical records for CKD, ESRD and transplant patients. Clinical Computing is an ISO 13485 Medical Device certified organisation.

Clinical Computing along with Mediqal H.I., its sister company in the UK, are part of the Constellation Kidney Group which also spans the US and Canada.

The role We are looking for a QA Engineer who is fluent in both English and French to join our product and development team. The role will focus on testing our nephrology EMR software, with particular attention to quality, usability, localisation, and customer-facing functionality.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, QA colleagues, and business stakeholders to ensure our software is reliable, compliant, and suitable for use by both English and French-Canadian users.

Key responsibilities

Develop an understanding of Clinical Computing’s existing product set.

Meet Clinical Computing’s Development Quality Standards – as set out in the Company’s ISO 13485 Quality System.

Ensure all products are verified and validated in a manner to demonstrate traceability to the original requirements.

Accountable for ensuring testing activities meet internal quality system requirements and are inspection‑ready in line with ISO 13485 standards.

Collaborate across teams to ensure new product features are defined, designed and tested prior to release.

Test new features, bug fixes, integrations, and product changes across the application.

Review French Canadian translations and validate that terminology, wording, and user flows are appropriate for Canadian French-speaking users.

Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases.

Support regression testing, release testing, and verification activities.

Clearly document defects, reproduction steps, expected results, and actual results.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, and documentation.

Job Overview

Working in a small team you will be involved in the quality and testing of the complete software development life cycle, from requirements analysis, design reviews, development testing and defect reporting and tracking.

You will identify opportunities to drive quality assurance and process improvement across the test ecosystem

You will work in a cooperative relationship with the development team as well as with other teams such as product management and support.

You will be expected to share knowledge and information with other members of the team and play an active role in improving working practices of the team.

This role is an

i ndividual contributor position with no direct reports, requiring strong autonomy, collaboration, and accountability in a remote team environment.

Responsibilities

Create and execute non-automated test plans

Document, communicate and report defects resulting from testing.

Document test case traceability to ensure all requirements are tested

Review, validate, and quality‑check translations of product manuals, online help, and customer‑facing documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.

Qualifications Required

Higher Education qualification (Degree, Diploma etc) in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field

Required skills and experience

Highly motivated, rigorous self-starter with a professional and personable demeanour who enjoys quality driven environments.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyse and communicate technical issues and contribute to discussions.

A good command of grammar and vocabulary, the ability to express instructions clearly and briefly in simple language.

Good documentation skills and the ability to produce visually attractive instructions.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to effectively plan, prioritise and execute tasks.

Fluent in French and English (written and spoken). - English is required due to regular collaboration with international development, product, and support teams.

Experience with localisation or multilingual software testing.

Ability to identify inconsistencies in language, workflow, and system behaviour.

Familiarity with nephrology, EMR, EHR, or clinical patient management systems.

Experience of Agile and Jira.

Comfortable working with tools such as Jira, Xray or similar.

Experience working in a multi-national, multi-site company.

+ 3 years of relevant experience.

Experience with API testing, database validation, or integration testing.

Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium.

Understanding of regulated software environments such as ISO 13485, GDPR.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Proactive communication across distributed teams and time zones

Strong documentation habits and comfort working in a highly collaborative remote environment.

Suitable for someone who… Has prior testing, QA and localisation experience, and is comfortable working in a small team environment and capable of

influencing and improving QA practices

within a regulated software context.
