For more than 60 years, Griff Building Supplies has supplied contractors, builders, developers, and homeowners throughout Metro Vancouver with quality building materials and exceptional service.

Founded in 1964 by James Clark Griffiths ("Griff"), we have built our reputation on reliability, expertise, and long-term customer relationships. Today, Griff operates from a 6.5-acre facility in Queensborough, New Westminster, including a 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse and retail operation serving customers across the Lower Mainland.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an ambitious and relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team.

What You'll Do

Develop and grow relationships with builders, framers, contractors, renovators, and developers.

Prospect and secure new business opportunities throughout your assigned territory.

Conduct regular job site visits and customer meetings.

Prepare quotations and project estimates.

Work closely with inside sales, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure exceptional customer service.

Manage customer projects from quotation through delivery.

Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and upcoming construction opportunities.

Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within our CRM system.

Represent Griff professionally at industry events, trade shows, and customer functions.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years of building supply industry experience .

Proven success in outside sales and business development.

Strong understanding of lumber, engineered wood products, siding, insulation, drywall, or related construction materials.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Ability to generate new business while maintaining existing accounts.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office products.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Self-motivated with a strong desire to win and grow market share.
