About the Opportunity

Kelly Services is proud to partner with a well-established manufacturing organization in Brantford, ON to recruit a Brazer for a full-time, permanent opportunity.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on brazing experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and brazing components used in the production of heat transfer coils while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
Braze copper-to-copper, copper-to-brass, and copper-to-steel joints
Operate electrolysis brazing equipment using 5% and 15% silver-content filler materials
Fit, align, and assemble tubing, return bends, U-bends, headers, and distributor assemblies prior to brazing
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and bills of material
Prepare materials for brazing, including cleaning, deburring, and proper joint preparation
Conduct pressure testing and leak detection to verify product quality
Repair or rework assemblies that do not meet quality standards
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality requirements
Maintain brazing equipment and report any equipment or safety concerns
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications
1-3 years of brazing experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Experience brazing copper tubing and assemblies is preferred
Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, heat exchanger, or coil manufacturing environments is considered an asset
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Comfortable using tape measures, calipers, hand tools, and measuring equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to successfully complete an in-house brazing proficiency assessment
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs
