As a QA Analyst your day your day-to-day job responsibilities will involve:

1. Creating test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
2. Documenting software defects, using a Jira bug tracking system, and reporting defects to software developers.
3. Identifying, analyzing, and documenting problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
4. Creating and or improving test plans that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
5. Documenting test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
6. Planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
7. Conducting software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
8. Testing system modifications to prepare for implementation.
9. Monitoring bug resolution efforts
10. Reviewing software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
11. Providing feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality.
12. Monitoring program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations.
13. Investigating customer problems referred by technical support.
14. Conducting historical analyses of test results.
15. Performing initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.
16. Collaborating with field staff or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Undergraduate degree or working experience in lieu of the degree.
2. Experience in a technology-based setup.
3. Working knowledge of various testing methodologies and tools
4. Continuous improvement mindset demonstrable through projects etc.
5. Experience with XML and Json files as well as editors such as Altova, Sublime & Visual Studio Code
6. Previous experience working in a gas station or c-store would be beneficial
7. Working experience with loyalty, mobile and card based payment systems will be required
