Role At a Glance The Mechanical Engineering graduate will work under close supervision to apply knowledge and skills learned during formal education in a specific engineering discipline. What You’ll Do

Develop and apply knowledge and skills learned during formal education in the mechanical engineering discipline.

Perform routine engineering tasks under close supervision, including preparing basic plans, designs, calculations, and drawings for assigned projects using Revit, or other specified software, in compliance with established codes, standards, and specifications.

Consistently take initiative to execute tasks successfully, meeting deadlines and commitments set by senior team members.

Assist in modifying existing designs (red line changes) and make suggestions to modify design approvals or materials for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems.

Carry out routine technical surveys and assist in preparing various reports, correspondence, and field inspection reports.

Develop strong knowledge of national and provincial building codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, and other related standards.

Work directly with the clients under guidance, as required.

Collaborate with more experienced technical personnel on specific aspects of more complex tasks.

Assist with various tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors or senior team members to support the overall success of the engineering teams and company objectives.

What You Bring To The Table

Graduating or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, applied sciences or related field.

Proficiency in engineering and office software and tools (e.g., Revit, CAD software, Microsoft, etc.).

Strong technical and analytical skills.

Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.

Ability to work under close supervision and follow established procedures.

Registered or pursuing registration with provincial governing body (eg. PEO, APEGA etc.).
