Job Title Manager, Student Success and Accountability Appointment Type Full-Time Continuing Dates Full-Time Continuing Hours per week/FTE 35 About the Position

Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Student Experience, the Manager, Student Success and Accountability provides strategic leadership for initiatives that foster student engagement, retention, persistence, and overall success. Working collaboratively with academic centres, service areas, and students, the Manager develops, implements, and continuously enhances programs, services, and practices that promote a positive and supportive student experience. The Manager provides leadership for the institution’s non-academic student conduct and accountability processes, ensuring the fair, consistent, and student‑centred application of institutional policies while providing guidance and expertise on policy interpretation. Using evidence-informed decision‑making, the role evaluates services and outcomes, identifies opportunities to improve the student experience, reduces barriers to student success, and strengthens institutional policies and practices. The position is responsible for the leadership and operational management of the Academic Advising, Student Success, and Career Advising teams. This includes overseeing staff, resources, and day‑to‑day operations to ensure high‑quality, timely, and effective service delivery that advances institutional priorities and supports student success throughout the student lifecycle. Please note that a strong internal candidate has been identified and will be considered as part of the competitive selection process. Operational Management of the Non-Academic Student Conduct Unit

Consult with students, employees, and other stakeholders to determine the appropriate policy and procedural pathways. Review submissions and triage cases in accordance with institutional policies and procedures. Coordinate the involvement of Conduct Officers in active cases. Monitor the effectiveness of student conduct policies and procedures and recommend improvements as needed. Ensure accurate records management practices that protect privacy, maintain historical data, and support reporting requirements. Identify, evaluate, and implement technology solutions to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and operational sustainability. Student Advising

Apply student development theories and advising models to support student success in a post-secondary environment. Design and deliver advising services informed by current research on student learning, career development, and student success. Manage administrative documentation and maintain confidential student records in accordance with institutional policies. Resolve complex student and staff issues, promote advising services, and remain current with emerging advising trends and best practices. People Development

Recruit, select, onboard, and retain a high‑performing team. Monitor and assess staff performance, providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing feedback. Conduct performance reviews, support professional development, and ensure adherence to institutional policies and ethical standards. Manage budgets, assign work, and foster collaboration across functional teams. Communication and Collaboration

Develop and implement internal and external communication plans that ensure consistent, accurate, and coordinated messaging. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including academic partners, school counsellors, and community organizations. Partner with Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, and other departments to enhance the student experience and engagement. Utilize CRM systems and collaborate across operational units to support enrolment, retention, and student success objectives. Assessment, Research, Planning, and Programming

Analyze data to support enrolment, retention, and student success initiatives while identifying trends and measuring outcomes. Conduct quality assurance activities, incorporate best practices, and contribute to policy and process improvements. Lead assessment and program evaluation activities, using findings to inform continuous improvement. Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the institution’s Strategic Enrolment Plan. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a post-secondary or similarly complex environment. Preferred Qualifications

Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience in recruitment, selection, and performance management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision‑making, assess outcomes, and evaluate programs and services. Knowledge of student advising theories, principles, practices, and ethical standards, including the appropriate handling of confidential student information. Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and identify innovative solutions to enhance service delivery. Salary Starting from $81,655 to $96,065 per annum; commensurate with education and experience.
