This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of production equipment, machinery and building systems. The successful candidate will lead and develop the maintenance team, establish strong preventative maintenance practices and personally assist with troubleshooting and repairs when needed. Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Management

Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance program. Schedule and prioritize work orders through the company’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Perform hands‑on troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance involving mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Assist maintenance technicians with complex equipment problems, repairs and installations. Oversee major equipment installations, upgrades and relocations. Maintain building systems, including HVAC, plumbing and compressed air. Manage the spare‑parts inventory to maintain equipment readiness while controlling costs. Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget. Monitor maintenance KPIs, including mean time between failures (MTBF) and equipment downtime. Lead the implementation and ongoing development of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program. Identify equipment‑related causes of quality issues and lead corrective actions. Leadership and Team Development

Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate members of the maintenance team. Provide visible, hands‑on leadership and technical guidance. Establish clear performance expectations and promote a collaborative, high‑performance culture. Select, coordinate and manage contractors providing repair and maintenance services. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

Work closely with Production, Scheduling and Engineering to align maintenance priorities with operational requirements. Participate in cross‑functional meetings addressing operational, quality and technical challenges. Use root‑cause analysis to identify recurring equipment problems and implement sustainable solutions. Promote continuous improvement in equipment reliability, maintenance processes and cost efficiency. Safety and Compliance

Ensure employees, contractors and equipment comply with company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities to strengthen preventative safety measures. Maintain a clean, safe and organized maintenance and production environment. Operating Environment

This is a full‑time, on‑site leadership position within a fast‑paced manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Supervisor must be comfortable balancing team leadership, strategic maintenance planning and hands‑on technical support. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams and must be willing to respond directly when complex or urgent equipment issues arise. Success Metrics

Reduced equipment downtime and improved reliability. Effective implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Improvement in MTBF and other maintenance KPIs. Timely completion and effective prioritization of maintenance work orders. Strong safety and regulatory compliance. Effective management of maintenance expenses and spare‑parts inventory. Successful development and performance of the maintenance team. Progress in implementing TPM and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline. At least five years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Demonstrated experience developing and managing preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Proven leadership, team‑development and technical problem‑solving capabilities. Experience with maintenance budgeting, cost control and KPI analysis. Strong project‑management and cross‑functional communication skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies is an asset. A valid Industrial Electrician or Millwright licence is considered a strong asset. Compensation and Benefits

Dental, vision and extended health coverage. RRSP matching. Paid time off. On‑site parking. Company events. Casual dress. Discounted or complimentary food. The company welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates participating in any stage of the selection process.
