Job description

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Vice President, Global Human Resources is responsible for leading Enghouse Systems' centralized global Human Resources function. This executive will develop and execute HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the Company's business objectives, international operations, and continued growth through acquisition.

As a member of the senior leadership team, the Vice President is expected to bring strong commercial judgment and business acumen to the role. Working closely with the Chief Administrative Officer, the Vice President will help support Enghouse's disciplined, profitable, and stable operating model by ensuring Human Resources strategies and decisions align with business priorities, operational efficiency, prudent risk management, and long-term organizational success.

The Vice President serves as the principal advisor to the Chief Administrative Officer on all Human Resources matters, including organizational effectiveness, talent management, employment law, compliance, workforce planning, and organizational change. The role provides leadership across all HR disciplines, ensuring consistent policies and practices while supporting employees and operations throughout North America, Central and South America, Europe, the United Kingdom, India, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The successful candidate will bring significant international HR leadership experience, deep knowledge of employment law and compliance (including a strong working knowledge of GDPR), and a proven track record leading HR due diligence and post-acquisition integration within a multinational organization. This individual will also oversee HR operations and technology, including the continued optimization of the Company's HRIS platform, preferably BambooHR, and will undertake occasional international travel to support global operations and acquisition activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Enghouse's centralized global Human Resources function, establishing consistent HR strategies, policies, programs, and governance across all operating regions.
  • Serve as the principal Human Resources advisor to the Chief Administrative Officer, providing practical, commercially sound advice that supports Enghouse's continued profitability, operational stability, and long-term growth.
  • Ensure Human Resources strategies and initiatives align with the Company's financial, operational, and strategic objectives while maintaining an appropriate balance between employee, legal, and business considerations.
  • Develop and execute the global HR strategy in support of Enghouse's business objectives and continued international growth.
  • Lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle across North America, Central and South America, Europe, the United Kingdom, India, and the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements across multiple international jurisdictions while managing organizational risk.
  • Lead the HR due diligence process for mergers and acquisitions, including employment risk assessments, organizational analysis, retention planning, and workforce transition strategies.
  • Develop and execute post-acquisition integration plans to ensure the successful onboarding of acquired businesses, integration of employees, and alignment of HR policies and practices.
  • Identify organizational risks and opportunities that could impact business performance and recommend practical solutions that support sustainable growth and operational excellence.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, performance management, talent development, employee relations, and HR operations.
  • Lead the administration, governance, and continuous improvement of the Company's HRIS, with preference for experience managing BambooHR.
  • Build and develop a high-performing HR team while fostering a culture of accountability, responsiveness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the Company's international operations through occasional travel to regional offices and newly acquired businesses.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Juris Doctor (JD/LLB) or significant employment law experience is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success leading a centralized global Human Resources function supporting employees across North America, Central and South America, Europe, the United Kingdom, India, and the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Significant experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including HR due diligence, employment risk assessment, workforce planning, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Experience within enterprise software, technology, or another acquisitive multinational organization is strongly preferred.
  • Experience administering and optimizing an HRIS, preferably BambooHR.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with a clear understanding of how Human Resources contributes to profitability, operational effectiveness, disciplined growth, and long-term shareholder value.
  • Proven ability to make sound, commercially focused decisions that balance legal, employee, operational, and business considerations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • CHRL, CHRE, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent professional designation is considered an asset.

Leadership Profile

The successful candidate is a pragmatic, commercially minded executive who understands that Human Resources is a strategic business function that enables organizational performance. They possess exceptional business acumen, exercise sound judgment, and have the confidence to provide balanced, practical advice on complex people and organizational issues.

They are equally comfortable operating at the executive level and engaging in the day-to-day leadership of a global HR function. They thrive in a dynamic, acquisition-oriented environment and have a demonstrated ability to integrate acquired organizations, manage organizational change, and build strong, consistent HR practices across multiple international jurisdictions.

Working closely with the Chief Administrative Officer, the Vice President, Global Human Resources will contribute to maintaining Enghouse's reputation as a disciplined, profitable, and well-managed global software company while supporting its continued international growth through strategic acquisitions and operational excellence.
