This state‑of‑the‑art facility includes automated dry premix production, liquid premix production, advanced HVAC systems, and a fully automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) in the warehouse. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for end-to‑end supply chain operations at a newly commissioned premix manufacturing plant in Chilliwack, BC working alongside HQ partners. This role owns inbound planning, inventory management, production planning, and cross-border customs compliance. This position plays a critical leadership role in transitioning the site from project phase to stable operations. Building and developing a new team; ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable supply chain execution in a highly automated SAP/WMS environment.

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with: INBOUND SUPPLY CHAIN & PORT LOGISTICS Manage inbound raw material logistics from Vancouver Port to Chilliwack alongside a 3PL provider. Coordinate drayage, customs clearance, container scheduling, and receiving capacity. Minimize freight congestion, container dwell time, and demurrage risk for inbound. Adhere to standards set by HQ for all above activities to maintain product quality and consistency. Manage lead times and work with HQ on product availability for the site. Establish and maintain supply chain related SOPs, work instructions, and escalation protocols.

CROSS BORDER OUTBOUND LOGISTICS (CANADA - US) Own outbound finished goods distribution to U.S. copackers; align with HQ. Ensure compliant and accurate cross-border customs documentation, including: Commercial invoices, Packing lists, HS codes, Country of Origin / USMCA, FDA prior notice (as applicable). Manage relationships with customs brokers, carriers, and freight forwarders. Proactively prevent border delays through documentation audits and KPI tracking. Point person to elevate any regulatory related issues to HQ.

SAP, WMS & SYSTEMS INTEGRATION Function as business owner for supply chain processes in SAP and WMS. Coach and train the supply chain team to be SME in the SAP space. Partner with IT to ensure accurate master data, inventory management, and HU handling. Prevent inventory discrepancies through disciplined transaction controls. Support system testing, go-live stabilization, and post-go-live optimization.

INVENTORY PLANNING Establish inventory management strategy for a new plant with evolving demand. Ensure FEFO compliance and follow through for raw materials utilization. Own the production planning piece to maintain ingredient inbound flow and FG outbound flow. Spearhead the OTIF deliverable for copackers from a planning perspective. Implement cycle counting and inventory accuracy processes from day one. Balance service levels, space utilization, and working capital. Coordinate with finance as a main point person for year-end inventory reconciliation.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE Ensure compliance with all applicable local, provincial, and federal regulations for the supply chain space. Ensure supply chain activities comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards as set by HQ. Support internal and external audits (food safety, customs, safety). Maintain records and documentation required for regulatory compliance and audits. Perform an internal mock audit to test measures in place for product flow compliance and sustainability.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Build, lead, and develop supply chain team from the ground up. Define and track ramp-up KPIs (Inventory accuracy, Dock-to-stock time and Safety metrics). Drive stabilization before cost or efficiency optimization. Identify and lead improvement initiatives once operations mature. Own and achieve quality related KPI’s like failure notices in general. Internal audit results from QA and corrective action implementation within 30 days.
