The Mine Control Room Lead is responsible for the leadership and operation of the Mine Control Room, ensuring the safe, efficient and coordinated execution of underground mining activities. The role provides real-time operational oversight, leads the Control Room team, coordinates underground resources and communications, monitors critical safety systems, and supports production objectives. The Mine Control Room Lead also leads operational improvement projects and technology initiatives that enhance safety, productivity and the effectiveness of mine control systems. This position will follow a 14/14 FIFO rotation.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate underground personnel, equipment, materials and services to optimise operational efficiency. Monitor fleet management, personnel tracking, communications, CCTV and mine monitoring systems. Maintain accurate accountability of all personnel working underground. Coordinate responses to operational delays, equipment breakdowns and changing production priorities. Act as the Control Room lead during emergencies, ensuring timely communication, personnel accountability and implementation of emergency response procedures. Liaise with Underground Supervisors, Maintenance, Technical Services, Surface Operations and Emergency Response personnel to ensure effective operational coordination. Lead and support operational improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of new processes, technologies, systems and work practices that improve safety, productivity and operational performance. Coordinate assigned projects within the Mine Control function, including planning, stakeholder engagement, implementation, documentation and post-implementation reviews. Ensure accurate completion of shift reports, operational logs, incident records and production updates. Ensure compliance with company policies, site procedures and applicable legislative requirements. Skills and Experience: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency Underground experience is an asset; candidates should have a thorough understanding of trucking, service crew activities, ventilation requirements, blasting, and jumbo operations. Candidates should have the ability to interpret and understand underground development cycles, and be able to identify and upscale concerns The ability to work professionally in a demanding environment while juggling multiple priorities Proven ability to recognize and follow verbal and written instructions Must have good radio etiquette and strong communications skills Work Conditions Ability to do shift camp work on a rotational basis (alternating dayshift/nightshift), typically the rotations are 2 weeks on site (minimum 12-hour days), followed by 2 weeks off - working statutory holidays as they fall within the rotation Frequently required to communicate, sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, push/pull, manipulate objects and work in awkward positions Duties may involve moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination are required Extreme weather conditions Noise level in the work environment is moderate to high What we offer:
