The AVP plays a key role in supporting Executive and Board decision-making through risk governance, forward‑looking risk analysis, stress testing, capital and liquidity oversight, regulatory engagement and independent challenge. This is a builder role requiring a leader who is equally comfortable shaping strategy, influencing executives and personally developing the frameworks, oversight programs, testing approaches and governance structures needed to establish and mature the Bank’s Financial Risk Management capability. What You’ll Do

Provide independent review and challenge of capital adequacy, liquidity sufficiency, stress testing assumptions, scenarios, methodologies and outputs. Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the evolution of Financial Risk Management capabilities, governance, resources and operating model. Operate effectively in both strategic and hands‑on capacities, personally driving the development of new risk management capabilities and deliverables as required. Establish and maintain a comprehensive second‑line Credit Risk Oversight Program, including thematic reviews, targeted testing, issue validation, root cause analysis and monitoring of management action plans. Design and execute risk‑based oversight reviews and testing programs to assess the effectiveness of first‑line credit risk controls, processes and adherence to approved policies and standards. Conduct independent assessments of credit risk management activities to identify control weaknesses, emerging risks, policy exceptions and opportunities for enhancement. Support the continued development of model governance and oversight practices across the Bank, including independent review and challenge of material models, methodologies and assumptions used in credit risk, stress testing, forecasting and capital planning. Capital, Liquidity & Interest Rate Risk Oversight Provide independent oversight and challenge of capital management, ICAAP, liquidity risk management and recovery planning activities. Review and challenge capital forecasts, stress testing outputs and capital management strategies. Oversee liquidity risk monitoring, contingency funding planning and related governance processes.
