This is a program-wide position and supports all site locations.

Position Summary Reporting to the Renal Program Director, the Clinical Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the Renal Technologies and Dialysis Assistants within the Renal Program. The Clinical Manager is accountable for the strategic planning and operational oversight of Renal Technical services, including but not limited to leadership for the planning, acquisition, execution and evaluation of the installation, maintenance and repair activities in accordance with best practices, hospital policies, regulatory and accreditation requirements. The Renal Technologist Manager develops collaborative relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to advance Renal services, best practices and innovations in terms of the integration of renal devices with the hospitals broader digital environment and broader health system. The Manager is accountable for all human resource, fiscal management, internal and customer relations, vendor management and communications.

Position Responsibilities

3 year Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or Post Graduate Dialysis Technology from an accredited program required.

Bachelors Degree preferred

5 years recent dialysis technology experience required

Successful completion of leadership courses and/or related experience preferred.

Three years of experience in a leadership role and in a renal health services environment

Health care experience required.

Demonstrated skillset in project management.

Demonstrated flexibility and resilience to work in a quickly changing environment.

Demonstrated leadership, and excellent critical thinking skills.

Highly developed problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making, multitasking and time management skills.

Dability to facilitate and lead effective multidisciplinary teams

Ability to work with frontline staff to identify, promote and resolve quality issues

Ability to implement change management processes for quality improvement and system advancement for the units

Experience using computer software programs
