Job description
Experience Without Limits

Come shape the future of brand experience.

At Jack Morton, we design and build head-turning, smile-inducing, impact-driving brand experiences that redefine what experiential marketing can achieve. We help our clients unlock the full value of experiences

by turning bold ideas into meaningful connections. That takes a team that's bold, curious, and acts as one.

We build on each other's ideas, challenge conventions, and show up for one another every day. Here, you'll do your best work, grow quickly, and partner across clients, disciplines, and global teams to bring new ideas to life. This is a place where curiosity drives what’s next, boldness raises the bar, and every win is shared. Where ownership is expected, egos are left at the door, and the work reflects the passion and talent of the people behind it. Experience without limits—in your work, your growth, and your impact. Jack Morton is seeking an experienced

Lead Carpenter / Cabinet Maker (Exhibits & Events)

to join our Production team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the fabrication of premium custom cabinetry, millwork, and exhibit components used in trade shows, branded environments, and experiential events. Working closely with the Shop Foreman, Production Manager, Project Managers, and Detailing team, you'll combine exceptional craftsmanship with technical expertise to deliver complex custom builds on time, on budget, and to Jack Morton's high standards of quality. This role is ideal for a skilled craftsperson who enjoys mentoring others, solving fabrication challenges, and helping bring creative concepts to life. What You'll Do

Custom Fabrication & Craftsmanship

Fabricate, assemble, and finish high-quality custom cabinetry, millwork, display fixtures, counters, kiosks, exhibit structures, and specialty components. Interpret shop drawings, CAD-based plans, and design specifications to ensure accurate fabrication. Partner with the Detailing team to improve fabrication-ready drawings and identify opportunities for efficiency. Perform advanced woodworking techniques including precision cutting, shaping, laminating, joinery, and complex assemblies. Ensure all completed work meets Jack Morton's standards for quality, durability, accuracy, and appearance. Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Leadership & Collaboration

Lead by example while mentoring cabinet makers and shop assistants to support skill development and craftsmanship. Assign work based on project priorities, individual strengths, and production schedules. Review work in progress and completed components for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications. Serve as a technical resource and problem-solver for complex fabrication and construction challenges. Foster a collaborative, professional, and safety-focused shop environment. Shop Operations & Safety

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. Ensure the safe operation, care, and routine maintenance of woodworking tools, machinery, and equipment. Follow all company safety policies and promote best practices throughout the shop. Identify opportunities to improve fabrication processes, workflows, and production efficiency. What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in cabinet making, custom millwork, or architectural woodworking. Demonstrated expertise in high-end custom fabrication and finish carpentry. At least 1 year of experience leading projects or mentoring team members in a production or manufacturing environment. Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and CAD-generated plans. Experience working with a variety of materials, including laminates, plywood, MDF, melamine, veneers, solid wood, and specialty substrates. Advanced proficiency with woodworking machinery, power tools, and shop equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet production deadlines. Flexibility to work overtime as needed to support project schedules. Preferred Qualifications

Experience building custom exhibits, trade show displays, retail fixtures, or experiential environments. Familiarity with CNC manufacturing processes and fabrication workflows. Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. Commitment to continuous improvement, craftsmanship, and operational excellence. Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required. Technical training or apprenticeship in woodworking, cabinet making, carpentry, or a related trade is considered an asset. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered. Last but not least, we believe in diversity, equity and inclusion. Jack Morton and Genuine are equal opportunity employer; we strongly value diversity at our companies. We do not discriminate on race, religion, color, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by law. #LI-WK1 Requisition #1946
