Are you looking for a rewarding position in Delta, BC? We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler with hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and sub-assembly.

In this critical manufacturing and logistics role, you will play a vital part in assembling industrial mineral processing and flotation equipment—including flotation cells, spargers, and columns. Your daily responsibilities will span across mechanical fitting and custom packaging, with a key focus on measuring, cutting, and constructing custom wooden crates to protect valuable equipment during transit.


Location: Delta, BC
Position: Temporary with opportunity for long term and permament hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift Time: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $21.75/hour
This location is transit accessible!

Responsibilities
• Assemble mechanical components, pipes, valves, structural fittings, and sub-assemblies according to mechanical blueprints, shop drawings, and standard work instructions.
• Measure, cut, and construct custom crates using panel saws and tape measures.
• Securely pack and prep finished mineral processing equipment for shipping using blocking, bracing, banding, shrink-wrapping, and labeling techniques.
• Operate various shop tools including panel saws and hand tools
• Conduct quality checks on fitted mechanical parts and completed wooden crates to ensure dimensional accuracy, proper fitment, and structural integrity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications
• Industry Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing, mechanical assembly, woodworking, or custom shop environments.
• Machinery & Tool Operation: Comfortable using panel saws, hand tools, and measuring tapes.
• Digital Tools & Technical Prints: Ability to view digital shop drawings on a tablet and use tablet cameras to document and photograph completed products for quality assurance.
• Precision Measurement: High-accuracy measurement skills utilizing tape measures to ensure exact specifications.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift products up to 50 lbs - 60lbs, stand or walk for extended shifts, bend, reach.
• Safety & Workplace Standards: Compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, site safety guidelines, and required PPE.
• Communication: Strong written and spoken English skills to follow instructions and adhere to shop safety procedures.
