District Manager for a full-time permanent opportunity based in
Yaletown, Vancouver, BC. In this position, you will oversee retail operations across British Columbia, driving sales performance, operational excellence, local marketing initiatives, and talent development while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Salary: $80,000 - $90,000/year
- Location: Yaletown, Vancouver, BC (Travel throughout British Columbia required)

Responsibilities- Drive sales, profitability, and key performance indicators (KPIs) across multiple retail locations.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and retain high-performing store management and retail teams.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while promoting operational excellence across all locations.
- Execute local marketing initiatives to increase sales and strengthen brand awareness.
- Manage staffing levels, budgets, payroll, and labour costs to maximize operational efficiency.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and applicable legislative requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, cash handling procedures, store security, and visual presentation standards.
- Maintain accurate point-of-sale (POS), payroll, inventory, and operational records.
- Support new store openings, acquisitions, and regional expansion initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses, community partners, and key stakeholders.
- Travel regularly to retail locations across British Columbia to provide leadership and operational support.
- Prepare reports, analyze business performance, and complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Selling It Right Certification is required.
- Post-secondary education is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit retail management experience; cannabis retail experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and results-oriented mindset.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving abstract, and reliable vehicle.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout British Columbia and occasionally across Canada.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience managing teams, workflows, and operational performance.
- Knowledge of cannabis retail operations, compliance requirements, and industry regulations.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, payroll, and expense control.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and inventory management skills.
- Excellent record-keeping, interpersonal, and stakeholder relationship management abilities.
