Area Support Manager - Dental

ML6 is partnering with a fast-growing, multi-location dental organization to find an Area Support Manager who will provide hands-on operational support to practices across the Lower Mainland. Working closely with Regional Managers and practice leadership, this person will step into locations that need additional attention, strengthen day-to-day execution and help important initiatives take hold. This is not a role built around brief check-ins or sending follow-up emails from a distance. You will spend concentrated time in practices, often several days at a time, building relationships, understanding what is getting in the way and staying close to the issue until meaningful progress has been made. The work may involve operational bottlenecks, team concerns, clinician relationships, new processes, integrations or priorities that require additional support on the ground. The role offers an excellent next step for an accomplished Practice Manager, operations supervisor or emerging multi-site leader who wants broader exposure across a portfolio of locations. Success will require someone who is highly resourceful, comfortable moving between different environments and willing to have the conversations and take the actions needed to solve problems. What You’ll Be Doing: Hands-on practice support. Spend focused time within practices to understand challenges, stabilize execution and provide practical support to local leaders and teams. Issue resolution. Take ownership of operational concerns, identify root causes, engage the right people and persist until the issue has been meaningfully resolved. Practice-leader coaching. Support Practice Managers with prioritization, communication, delegation, accountability and the day-to-day leadership of their teams. Team and staffing support. Help local leaders navigate performance, engagement and workplace concerns in partnership with Regional Managers and Human Resources. Clinician relationships. Build trust with dentists and other clinicians, listen carefully to concerns and keep situations constructive while longer-term solutions are developed. Initiative implementation. Help practices adopt new processes, systems and regional priorities by translating expectations into practical actions and following through on implementation. Integration and change support. Provide on-site assistance during acquisitions, leadership changes, onboarding activity or other periods requiring greater structure and attention. Operational performance. Review relevant practice metrics, identify barriers to performance and work with local and regional leaders to implement improvement plans. Communication and escalation. Keep Regional Managers informed, document progress and use sound judgment to distinguish between matters that can be solved locally and those requiring escalation. Flexible field coverage. Move between practices based on business needs, spending concentrated periods at priority locations while balancing time in the field, the office and working independently. What You Bring: Relevant operations experience. Several years of progressive experience in practice operations, multi-site services, healthcare, retail, hospitality or another people-intensive operating environment. Practice leadership. Experience as a Practice Manager, Operations Manager, multi-site supervisor or in a comparable role with responsibility for people, service and day-to-day performance. Hands-on leadership style. A willingness to work alongside teams, address issues directly and adapt your approach to the needs of each location. Problem ownership. A demonstrated habit of following issues through to resolution rather than stopping after an initial request, update or attempted handoff. Coaching and judgment. The ability to build trust, provide practical guidance, navigate sensitive conversations and recognize when additional support is needed. Communication. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide concise updates and maintain constructive relationships with clinicians, managers and regional leaders. Operational confidence. Comfort using business systems and performance data to identify issues, establish priorities and track improvement. Mobility and adaptability. The ability and willingness to travel regularly between practices across the Lower Mainland and to adjust plans as operational priorities change. Dental experience - an asset. Direct experience in a dental practice or dental-services organization is strongly valued, though comparable multi-site operating experience will also be considered. Compensation:

Base salary of $80,000 to $100,000
