As a pharmacist with Swan Valley Pharmacy, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the daily operations of the pharmacy. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will help provide timely, professional, and compassionate pharmacy services in a welcoming community-focused environment. We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and motivated pharmacist who is committed to building lasting patient relationships, delivering outstanding clinical care, and contributing positively to our team.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing: Reporting to the Pharmacy Owner/Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Provide exceptional, patient-centered pharmacy care by assessing, verifying, dispensing, counselling patients on prescription, non-prescription medications and providing disease management when appropriate.
Deliver expanded scope pharmacy services, including medication reviews, prescribing where authorized, and injections.
Collaborate with pharmacy team members and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and build strong, lasting patient relationships.
Ensure accurate preparation, labeling, packaging, adjudication, and sale of prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
Support the efficient operation of the pharmacy through inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and maintaining appropriate medication stock levels.
Promote patient safety and quality assurance by complying with pharmacy legislation, College of Pharmacists of Manitoba Standards of Practice, PHIA requirements, and Swan Valley Pharmacy policies and procedures.
Maintain professional competence through continuing education and required professional certifications.
In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, oversee dispensary operations, provide leadership to pharmacy staff, and assist with the overall operation and success of the pharmacy.
What you have to offer:
Licensed and in good standing with College of Pharmacist of Manitoba
Community pharmacy experience with a strong sense of professionalism
Customer focused and pride on building customer relationships
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent leadership and performance management skills an asset
Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software an asset
Injection Certification and other advanced practice certificates are preferred
What we have to offer:
Full-time, approximately 35–40 hours per week
Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays; No evenings, Sundays, or Statutory Holidays
