The position is based at our Longueuil establishment, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site. What are our expectations

Provide technical/operational drafting and design support to the engineering functional groups.

Under moderate supervision, performs varied tasks of intermediate complexity.

Applies intermediate and some advanced skills to perform functions of the position within assigned area.

May adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements functions of the position.

Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.

May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other employees

What your day to day will look like

Generates complex engineering drawings, 3D models and layouts of moderately complex design concepts using Computer Aided Design/Definition (CAD) in CATIA V5/V6.

Provides technical assistance through the detail design and development phase.

Ensure that all drawings, 3D files and documents are created to established rules and guidelines.

Applies extensive knowledge of mechanical drafting, engineering mathematics, geometric tolerancing, manufacturing methods, knowledge of physics and strength of materials

May serve as a resource on varied tasks.

What do you need to be successful?

College diploma / Associates degree in Engineering Technology

Demonstrated leadership, technical writing, and problem-solving skills

General knowledge of construction and function of gas turbine engines

Good knowledge of the English language, written and oral, is required for this position considering the operational needs of the Employer and the people with whom the [candidate] will be called upon to interact.

Field of study: Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Manufacturing

Experience using CATIA V5/V6, (2D and 3D) or similar.
