Project Details & Compensation
- Location: Bonnyville, Alberta (Camp Accommodations Provided)
- Project Timeline: August 26 – September 16 (Continuous 21-day assignment)
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, available in both days and nights (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM OR 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Compensation: $27.00 per hour (Time-and-a-half overtime rates apply after 8 hours per day or 44 hours weekly)
- Additional Allowances: Complimentary hotel stay, a $60 daily Living Out Allowance (LOA), plus a $50 daily travel stipend. We also provide daily round-trip bus shuttles between your hotel and the job site (roughly a 30-minute commute).

Overview
We are recruiting highly skilled Tank Cleaning Technicians for a critical, fast-paced 21-day turnaround operation located in Bonnyville. This demanding role requires excellent physical endurance, an unwavering commitment to workplace safety, and proven expertise operating securely within tight, confined spaces. Team members will be scheduled for comprehensive 12-hour shifts (either days or nights). We ensure your comfort and convenience by supplying fully paid hotel lodging alongside dedicated bus transit directly to the facility. Applicants must be prepared to travel to and from the lodgings at the project's launch and conclusion (travel time is compensated).

Responsibilities
Execute tank cleaning procedures within confined spaces according to specific project directives.

Work securely and efficiently while utilizing supplied breathing air systems in highly restricted work areas.

Adhere comprehensively to all established safety protocols and the direct guidance of onsite leadership.

Take responsibility for the upkeep, inventory, and safe return of all company-provided protective gear (such as gas monitors, FR coveralls, and respiratory equipment) once the job concludes.

Promptly notify management regarding any defective machinery, tool failures, or potential safety hazards observed on site.

Qualifications
Professional Experience & Skills
- Professional Background: 1 to 3+ years of hands-on experience operating as an industrial cleaning laborer, particularly within plant turnaround environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated capability of working securely inside confined spaces for prolonged periods while hooked up to supplied breathing air systems.
- Safety Acumen: In-depth comprehension of industrial safety standards, including hazard recognition, proper PPE utilization, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and permit-to-work protocols.
- Communication: Fluency in English is mandatory to ensure all team members can comprehend and carry out intricate verbal safety and operational instructions.
- Interpersonal Traits: We are looking for highly dependable individuals with exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative team mindset.
- Bonus Qualifications: Previous exposure to hose connections, temporary pipe fitting, rigging/hoisting, high-angle work, hazardous atmospheric conditions, or operating specialized vac/chemical units will put your application at the top of the pile. A valid First Aid certificate is highly valued.

Mandatory Certifications & Safety Clearances
- Safety Tickets: You must possess valid Confined Space Entry, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, WHMIS, and CSTS 2020 (or CSO) certifications.
- Respirator Fit Tests: Up-to-date mask fit testing is strictly required for the following models: 3M Scott AV-3000 (SABA), 3M 6000 Series Half Mask, and 3M 6000 Series Full Facepiece.
- Site Access Clearance: All candidates must successfully clear a mandatory pre-site drug and alcohol screening.
- Onboarding: A comprehensive online site orientation program must be finalized at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled mobilization date.
- Required Personal Equipment: You are responsible for supplying your own CSA-certified hard hat and chemical-resistant rubber boots. (Please be aware that custom-molded earplugs and prescription safety eyewear are not supplied by the client).

Physical Demands
- Due to the extremely strenuous nature of this turnaround project, physical fitness is an absolute prerequisite.
- Endurance to perform heavy labor in tight, restrictive environments while utilizing breathing apparatuses for hours at a time.
- Climbing ladders and stairs.
- Extended periods of standing and walking.
- Capacity to endure prolonged durations of standing, continuous walking, kneeling, crawling, and highly repetitive physical tasks.
