The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Business Development, Clinical Nutrition and Food Services, the Dietitian will play a key role in the implementation and optimization of CBORD solutions, including the patient ordering application, mobile inventory management, and menu development activities. Working in partnership with Food Services leadership, dietitians, dietetic technicians, and food production and delivery teams, the Dietitian will support the design, education, implementation, and evaluation of processes that enhance service delivery and patient care outcomes. The position will also support other departmental projects and initiatives as assigned.

Hours of Work Monday- Friday, flexible days and hours. Hybrid work available.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with major credits in nutrition or dietetics required.

Graduate of a Dietitians of Canada-accredited Dietetic Internship Program is required.

Licensed member of the Nova Scotia Regulator of Dietetics required (or eligible for licensure).

Eligible for membership in the Dietitians of Canada (DC).

Two (2) years of experience as an administrative dietitian preferred.

WHMIS training required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire).

Knowledge and experience with Food Service Software is an asset, e.g., Meditech software, specifically MedDietary and CBORD, is preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs/technology.

Understand and interpret clinical standards in patient diet types and menus.

Ability to work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team in a variety of settings, as well as the ability to work independently.

Demonstrates excellent initiative and organizational skills.

Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication (verbal & written) skills.

Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Family Centered Care is an asset.

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively and coordinate unexpected circumstances within the Food Service department.
