Lead With Purpose. Inspire People. Drive Meaningful Change.

At New Age Services (NAS) Inc., we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, independent, and fulfilling life. For over 30 years, we have supported adults with developmental disabilities and complex needs throughout Calgary through innovative, person-centered services.

We are guided by our values of Purpose, People, and Pioneering, and we are looking for an experienced leader who shares our passion for empowering individuals, developing teams, and creating positive change.

If you are a strategic thinker, a strong people leader, and someone who thrives in a mission-driven environment, we invite you to join our team as Program Manager – Community Access & Supported Living.

About the Role

As the Program Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight to NAS' Community Access and Supported Living programs, ensuring high-quality services that empower individuals to achieve their goals and fully participate in their communities.

This is a senior leadership role that combines operational excellence, strategic planning, and people leadership. You will lead and support Team Leaders, oversee service delivery, manage departmental resources and budgets, ensure compliance with funding and organizational standards, and champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will play an important role in shaping the future of NAS while ensuring your department contributes to the agency's mission and strategic priorities.

What You'll Do

Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams

  • Coach, mentor, and support Team Leaders to achieve operational and service excellence.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Support employee development through supervision, coaching, performance evaluations, and ongoing feedback.
  • Build leadership capacity and encourage effective decision-making across teams.
  • Ensure Community Access and Supported Living services are delivered in accordance with NAS values, policies, and PDD requirements.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs), Planned Approaches, and other client support strategies.
  • Monitor service quality, client outcomes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support resolution of complex client, family, and stakeholder concerns.

Manage Operations and Resources

  • Oversee departmental operations, systems, and administrative processes.
  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure responsible use of resources.
  • Work collaboratively with Accounting, Human Resources, and other internal departments.
  • Ensure all required documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Build positive relationships with PDD, community partners, families, guardians, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and oversee funding proposal submissions and funding-related communications.
  • Represent NAS professionally within the community and at stakeholder meetings.

Support Organizational Success

  • Contribute to strategic planning and organizational initiatives as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Lead projects that enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.
  • Oversee risk management, health and safety initiatives, and the Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol (APRP) process.
  • Participate in the executive on‑call rotation.

What You Bring

You are an experienced leader who is passionate about making a difference. You understand how to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operations while inspiring others to succeed.

You are:

  • A collaborative and empowering leader.
  • An excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Skilled at problem-solving, decision-making, and managing change.
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Committed to high-quality, person-centered services.
  • Motivated by developing others and helping teams achieve their full potential.

Qualifications

Required

  • Diploma or Degree in a Human Services field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the human services sector.
  • Minimum three (3) to four (4) years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing employees, budgets, and operational priorities.
  • Strong administrative, reporting, and computer skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Reliable vehicle with a minimum of $2,000,000 third-party liability insurance.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field.
  • Experience working within PDD-funded services.
  • Knowledge of Supported Living and Community Access service models.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
(Some evening and weekend work may be required)

Starting Wage: $33.35 per hour
Vacation Pay: 8%

In addition, NAS offers:

  • Annual Health & Wellness Account
  • Six Flex Days Per Year
  • Professional Development Opportunities
  • A Supportive and Collaborative Leadership Team
