Responsible for all duties related to the receipt, handling and processing of surgical pathology specimens, not limited to the qualifications below. Qualifications

Current general registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario required Recent clinical experience of 3-5 years in Histology Must be proficient in embedding specimens of all complexity Must be proficient in microtomy of all specimens not limited to biopsies, smalls and bigs Must be proficient in special stains and all aspects of slide review and QC Experience in routine Histology procedures and equipment Strong working knowledge and experience in immunohistochemistry an asset Experience in specimen grossing an asset Working knowledge of all Pathology quality assurance and quality controls required Ability to work effectively as a collaborative member of a team A positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position Good employment and attendance record required Additional Information
