310T Truck & Coach Technician - Peterbilt

Overview Brandt is currently seeking a 310T Truck & Coach Technician for our Barrie Peterbilt location. This position is responsible for the diagnostics, repair and maintenance of trucks, trailers, coaches, and buses in a shop environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble and repair the on road equipment efficiently and effectively

Use secondary materials and equipment safely

Use related instruments, hand/power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems

Accurately document on work orders all unit information, actions taken, and time spent

Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards

Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis

Work with equipment engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements

Road test equipment and verify repairs as required

Other duties as required

What We Look For

Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel.

Outstanding knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems

Proven computer/ technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work

Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs

Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure

Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

A commitment to high quality customer service

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Previous mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment is required

Certified Journeyperson in the Truck & Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred

Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset

Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
