Summary Of Duties

The Toronto Central (North) Regional Cancer Program (TCN RCP) is responsible for implementing provincial standards and programs for cancer care and ensuring service providers meet the requirements and targets set out in their partnership agreements with Ontario Health - Cancer Care Ontario. The TCN RCP is based out of the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and works closely with provincial stakeholders and regional partners. The Odette Cancer Centre and TCN RCP is seeking a Project Manager to support strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, quality improvement and implementation initiatives across the person centred care (PCC) portfolio. This includes the Your Symptoms Matter program, Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program Indigenous Cancer Care initiatives and Survivorship; and other emerging priorities. Working in a complex healthcare environment, the Project Manager will collaborate with clinical, operational, administrative, regional, and provincial partners to advance patient-centred initiatives, support provincial priorities, and drive measurable improvements in cancer care delivery and patient experience. Job Responsibilities Lead and support strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of PCC initiatives aligned with Ontario Health priorities and deliverables Represent the Toronto Central Regional Cancer Program on the Ontario Cancer Symptom Management Collaborative (OCSMC) as regional lead, contributing to provincial planning, knowledge sharing, and implementation of symptom management initiatives. Completing environmental scans, workflow assessments, current state analyses, and information gathering activities to support project planning and implementation Applying quality improvement and change management principles to projects and initiatives Creating and maintaining detailed project plans to track progress and coordinate project schedules, resources and information Developing and delivering presentations to leadership to facilitate effective decision-making on objectives and plans Leading meetings with stakeholders (physicians, clinical staff, leaders) and coordinating internal resources for project execution Performing risk management to minimize project risks Executing communications plans to ensure all stakeholders are informed of key objectives, updates and milestones Measuring project performance, evaluating options and providing recommendations to leadership team on areas of improvement and operational sustainability for projects Establishing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders at the regional and provincial level Ensuring appropriate engagement with patients, families and caregivers, internal stakeholders and external partners in the implementation of projects Lead and facilitate regional communities of practice, working groups, and forums to advance person-centred care priorities across the region Supporting reporting requirements related to provincial and regional priorities Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Ontario Health, regional cancer centres, hospitals, community organizations and other provincial stakeholders to advance strategic priorities. Project Specific Design, implement and evaluate process improvements for priority indicators Support data quality assurance and ensure accuracy and completeness of data sent to Ontario Health – Cancer Care Ontario for key metrics Lead the planning, coordination and execution of committees, working groups and governance structures, including agenda development, meeting facilitation and action tracking.Optimize opportunities for collaboration with regional stakeholders Monitor and report on program metrics, trends and targets Work with Leads to Identify key initiatives, performance measures/benchmarks and timelines for annual work plans Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for improvement and inform strategic decision-making. Key Qualifications Post-secondary degree in a health-related field required, Master's degree in healthcare administration, public health, quality improvement, business administration or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role that has a strong emphasis on project management and quality improvement in a health care environment Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to implement and manage large scale projects/change that involve interdisciplinary clinical stakeholders Demonstrated commitment to Quality Improvement and Performance Metrics, must be results and outcomes oriented Excellent organizational, project planning and relationship building skills Strong communications, facilitation and presentation skills Experience in preparing executive level presentations and materials Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing timelines in a fast paced environment Familiarity with Ontario Health priorities, person centred care and regional cancer programs considered an asset Experience engaging patients, caregivers and community partners in quality improvement and program design initiatives considered an asset. Formal training or experience in change management methodologies considered an asset.
