Technician I Security

As a Technician I - Securitywith Bosch Building Technologies you will assist in the installation maintenance and repair of security systems. Youll work with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience with low voltage access control systems CCTV setups and prewiring projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in system design and layout.
• Install terminate and test copper and fiber optic cables connectors and related components.
• Assist in installing and servicing electronic security systems including pre-wiring programming commissioning troubleshooting and maintenance of access control CCTV and intrusion alarm systems.
• Provide customer training and respond to technical inquiries.
• Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities.
• Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers completing and filing all project documentation.
• You may be required to work night shifts when needed based on project/service requirements.
• Perform other tasks as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.
• Proficiency in cable pulling installation and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with security systems CCTV and alarms.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team members.
• Valid Drivers License with a clean abstract.
• Able to work independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.
• Post secondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset.
• Basic knowledge of low voltage systems CCTV and prewiring is desirable but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand climb walk sit push pull squat crawl and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle feel objects and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsand may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
In general the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• While performing the duties of this job the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions work on job sites may be required to travel to and from job site locations may work in a typical office environment and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.

Pay :$20.50 ph - $29.69 ph D.O.E
