WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Role:

Reporting to the Team Lead, Planning & Scheduling, you’ll help ensure materials flow smoothly and efficiently through the supply chain. Key responsibilities include organizing sales order demands, supporting forecast planning, managing inventory strategies, coordinating with procurement and manufacturing teams, tracking material availability, and helping improve production processes. You'll also assist with purchase orders, revenue projections, and lean manufacturing efforts to boost efficiency and reduce waste.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the master production schedule (MPS) to ensure alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and material availability.
  • Develop and manage weekly and daily production schedules to meet delivery commitments and optimize manufacturing throughput.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and production performance, adjusting schedules as required to address constraints, shortages, or priority changes.
  • Translate sales orders and demand forecasts into executable production plans.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Inventory teams to ensure materials are available to support planned production schedules.
  • Identify and communicate material shortages, capacity constraints, or risks that may impact delivery commitments.
  • Maintain visibility of order backlog, production progress, and delivery timelines to support on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters and master data within the ERP system (lead times, planning settings, etc.).
  • Participate in production planning and cross-functional coordination meetings to align operations, procurement, and demand priorities.
  • Identify and support continuous improvements in planning, scheduling, and production flow to improve schedule stability and operational performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for production and material planning.
  • Hands-on experience with material planning and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly related to capacity, materials, and production schedules.
  • Understanding material planning concepts such as MRP, Kanban, safety stock, and lead times.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in manufacturing or production environments, preferably high-mix or engineered products.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices, such as Kaizen.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and planning abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills when working with operations, procurement, and engineering teams.
