Job Description

Temporary 14-Month Contract: From Late September 2026 to November 2027

At CIMA+, our strength lies in our people. We’re currently looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who shares our commitment to collaboration, excellence, and innovation to help support our continued growth in Ontario.

As an HRBP, you will serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders and employees across the province. Reporting to the Lead HR Manager and working as part of a dynamic, supportive HR team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering meaningful, people-centered HR solutions that align with both regional needs and our organizational vision. Your work will directly contribute to creating a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture—hallmarks of the CIMA+ experience.

Ontario continues to be one of CIMA+'s fastest-growing regions, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of people and business challenges while contributing directly to the employee experience and continued growth of the organization.

You could be based out of our Mississauga, Burlington or Markham offices, with the expectation to be in the office at least 2 times /week and will support our offices across Ontario.

Your Impact at CIMA+

  • Partner with and coach managers and leaders across Ontario on all facets of HR management, including:
    • Employee engagement and retention
    • Managing performance and performance gaps
    • Compensation management
    • Communication
    • Training and development
    • Talent acquisition support
    • Managing internal processes and policies
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with team members and leaders, promoting a culture of respect, integrity, and open dialogue.
  • Stay closely connected with the Ontario teams to understand their unique challenges and deliver tailored, agile HR solutions that support local and organizational goals.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement in HR practices, and work with leaders to navigate these strategically while nurturing their leadership capabilities.
  • Champion and represent the HR function in various internal projects and initiatives, ensuring that people-first solutions are always prioritized.
  • Support change management initiatives in a rapidly growing environment, contributing to a culture that embraces evolution and innovation.
  • Act as a go-to resource for employees seeking clarity and support across a broad range of HR topics.
  • Stay informed of employment legislation, industry best practices, and emerging HR trends to ensure CIMA+ remains progressive and compliant.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to support onboarding and integration of new hires.
  • Lead or support employee engagement efforts across your client groups, fostering an environment where people feel valued, heard, and empowered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 6+ years in an HR Generalist or Business Partner role, with a strong service orientation
  • In-depth knowledge of Ontario employment laws and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and influence at all levels
  • Strong coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • A self-starter mindset with a high level of autonomy and accountability
  • Strategic thinker with strong judgment and a drive for continuous improvement
  • Experience working in fast-paced, change-oriented environments
  • Membership in a recognized professional HR association is an asset
  • Experience in the professional services or engineering consulting industry is a plus
  • Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence

At CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective. You think you can add value, but don't meet all the job requirements? We invite you to apply, because everyone has something unique to offer. The outstanding talents that choose to join us at CIMA+ soon realize that we go all out to encourage them to grow. We look forward to hearing how you can contribute to our success.
