Job description

Duration: 12+ Months Contract with possible of extension

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong experience in Capital Markets to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade trading and financial applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and distributed systems, along with a solid understanding of capital markets, trading platforms, securities, and post-trade processing.
This role requires close collaboration with business analysts, traders, product owners, architects, and DevOps teams to build scalable, high-performance applications supporting front-office, middle-office, and back-office operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications for Capital Markets platforms.
  • Build scalable Microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand trading workflows and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop low-latency, high-throughput applications supporting real-time trading and market data processing.
  • Integrate applications with exchanges, market data providers, OMS, EMS, and third-party financial systems.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in system architecture, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
  • Implement secure coding standards and ensure compliance with financial industry regulations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Capital Markets or Investment Banking domain.
  • Strong object-oriented design and software engineering principles.
  • Experience building high-performance, distributed enterprise applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
