Job description

The Linchpin Co. is a people operations group offering custom recruitment and consulting services. At Linchpin, we know a company's most valuable resource is its people, and we are people experts!

We will be the point of contact between you and Ignite Management during the recruitment process, acting as your trusted advisor and coach. We look forward to your interest.

About Ignite

We are a small team of diverse and multi-disciplinary professionals led by a passionate Founder and President, with offices in Vancouver and Toronto. We work alongside CEOs and top-level Executives in medium to large, complex organizations to create and execute strategy and develop leaders.

What we do is not simple — from aligning stakeholders to supporting the achievement of KPIs, we strive to “change the way business is done.” To bring about this change, we are creating an environment that encourages and supports every employee to reach their true potential.

We are guided by our cultural pillars of Care, Excellence, and Joy.

About You

You are a driven professional with 5-10 years of experience in strategy consulting or a related field, ready to take your career to the next level. You have demonstrated your ability to solve complex problems, produce high-quality client deliverables, and lead client engagements with quiet confidence.

Your strengths lie in connecting the dots in complex environments, synthesizing information, and providing strategic insights that drive decision-making. You’re motivated by continuous learning, professional growth, and making an impact.

You bring curiosity, critical thinking, and excellence to everything you do. You’re committed to being the best version of yourself and eager to contribute to the long-term success of both clients and the team.

Position Overview

The Senior Associate plays a pivotal role in delivering impactful outcomes for clients. Working closely with Consultants, Senior Associates help design and execute elements of Ignite’s strategic planning methodology, ensuring alignment with client goals.

They are deeply involved in both supporting and leading specific project deliverables, providing value through their insights, expertise, and ability to manage day-to-day project workflows.

This role is designed to help you grow into a Consultant position within two years, offering exposure to high-level decision-making, client management, and leadership development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply the Ignite Methodology in strategy facilitation and solution development for clients.
  • Support and lead client engagements by:
  • Developing materials for client workshops and presentations.
  • Synthesizing insights and recommendations into compelling reports and slide decks.
  • Acting as the primary liaison between project teams and clients, ensuring smooth communication and alignment.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Leading some client meetings and facilitated sessions.
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance to clients, offering insights and solutions to address business and leadership challenges.
  • Support Associates, fostering their skill development and ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Participate in internal initiatives to support the growth and development of Ignite’s people, processes, and business.

What We Look For

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or related field (MBA or professional designation such as CPA or CPHR is a plus).
  • 5–10 years of experience in strategy consulting or a related field with a proven track record of driving project success under tight deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on strategy, leadership, and/or organizational design.
  • Ability to distill complex ideas into actionable insights, with strong conceptual and analytical reasoning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and guide teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Endless curiosity, creativity, and a desire for continuous growth.
  • Able to work in Canada and the USA (citizenship or valid work visa required).
  • Demonstrated humility, optimism, and discipline.

Our Offer

We are passionate about the impact we have at Ignite and pride ourselves on delivering transformational results through an exceptional team.

We offer:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Company bonus plan
  • Five weeks of paid vacation
  • All-inclusive phone plan and device
  • Industry-leading extended health and dental package

At Ignite, we promote a high-trust environment and support work-life integration. All team members will be guided through the creation of an individualized development plan linking their aspirations and skillsets to a clear growth track.

This is an incredible opportunity to join a growing organization and make a significant impact with our team and clients.
