Our success is built on the dedication of our people; many of our leaders started in entry-level roles and grew their careers with us. If you’re looking for a place where hard work and ambition are recognized and rewarded, we’d love to meet you.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Sea Freight Export Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations and ongoing success of our Sea Freight Export division. In this role, you will help ensure the efficient coordination of export shipments, maintain high service standards, and contribute to the smooth execution of freight forwarding activities.

In addition, you will provide exceptional customer service and sales support, serving as a key liaison between internal teams and external customers to ensure clear communication, timely issue resolution, and a positive customer experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide excellence in customer service as the first point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and complaints, with special attention to key assigned accounts.
  • Assist the Sea Freight Export operation and ensure accurate processing of paperwork to minimize errors.
  • Complete accurate monthly reports as requested by management and customers.
  • Provide shipment information for export customers and support the sales department in negotiating rates and quotes for services.
  • Maintain accurate filing system(s), update and input shipment details in the system, and ensure accuracy for billing.
  • Coordinate shipments and send pre-alert notices to customers and related departments as required.
  • Assist the division/department manager in the effective maintenance of the company’s ISO policies; participate in meetings and support overall terminal objectives.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe activities to the supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Receive guidance with respect to general objectives for most assigned tasks and projects; determine methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives while operating within specific policy guidelines.
  • Provide backup support within the department during busy periods, vacations, and unexpected employee absences.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and by sharing knowledge and skills.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as required by management.

What You Bring

  • Formal Academic Training in related field (CITT or CIFFA preferred) and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Compensation: Salary range starting from $45,000 to $65,000 per year, with opportunities for growth and advancement based on performance and contribution.

Why Join KWE?

  • Fast-paced, dynamic environment with a great team
  • Opportunity for advancement
  • Generous bonus program linked to company & individual success
  • Competitive and equitable compensation packages
  • Comprehensive group benefits
  • Company paid pension program
  • Accessible and inclusive work environment
  • Flexible / hybrid work arrangements

If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and contribute to a growing organization, we’d love to hear from you!
