With an expansive infrastructure network spanning Western Canada and North Dakota, we deliver essential solutions where they are needed most. Our partnerships focus on safely recovering oil and metals, disposing of liquid and solid waste, recycling materials such as metals, water, and oil, and reclaiming contaminated land to reduce environmental footprints.

SECURE is committed to innovation, helping our customers lower costs, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and exceed their business, safety, and environmental goals. We go beyond expectations — mitigating risks, reducing financial obligations, and maximizing value for our clients.

Join SECURE and be part of a team that steps up to make a meaningful difference in the industries we serve and the world we share.

Your Opportunity at SECURE

As a Well Operations Engineer, you'll serve as a technical leader responsible for delivering complex well operations projects that maximize the performance, integrity, and reliability of SECURE's disposal well assets. You'll lead the planning and execution of completions, workovers, stimulations, and asset retirement activities while providing expert technical guidance to optimize injection performance and support long‑term operational success. Working closely with operations, regulatory, finance, and business development teams, you'll influence key decisions, solve complex technical challenges, and help shape the future performance of our well infrastructure.

Our teams work together to share knowledge, challenge ideas, and deliver safe, reliable solutions that support our customers and business objectives.

Work Environment

This role combines office-based engineering with regular field engagement, providing the opportunity to see projects through from planning to execution. You'll work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise, sound judgment, and collaboration are essential to delivering safe, compliant, and cost‑effective operations.

A Day in The Life

  • Lead and project manage well operations projects, including completions, workovers, stimulations, and ARO activities
  • Provide technical leadership for disposal well performance and injectivity optimization
  • Prepare drilling, completion, workover, and stimulation programs

  • Ensure regulatory and legislative compliance
  • Support the Measurement and Control team on injection fluid characterization
  • Design and execute reservoir‑specific stimulation techniques
  • Analyze injection and performance data to optimize operations
  • Develop cost estimates, forecasts, and technical proposals

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in well operations, completions, workovers, or stimulations
  • C.E.T. or Engineering designation required
  • Cavern experience considered an asset but not required
  • Strong understanding of disposal well operations and well integrity
  • Ability to lead complex projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with WellView, PetroSight, and GeoScout
