The opportunity:The Innisfil YMCA is looking for a Part-Time Fitness Leader who will be responsible for delivering quality Parent & Tot fitness classes. If you are certified to teach strength and/or cardio based fitness classes and you enjoy instructing dynamic classes this role is for this role you will:Plan organize and deliver fitness programs and services. Maintain records as needed including program area maintenance items and daily service friendly fitness programming. Monitor and maintain high quality instruction and customer service adhering to YMCA Standards and best and maintain a high level of ongoing member participation in the programs you are responsible responsible for the safety and security of YMCA members and participants at all times:Complete incident report forms for emergency and first aid and work with the Duty Manager in the event of an emergency or building excellence in member service adhering to YMCA to members concerns in a helpful and positive and work as part of a staff/volunteer team to ensure that all members YMCA experience is a positive strong support and commitment to serving the membership facility users and all program participants of the YMCA of Simcoe/ and maintain relationships with members and participants through deliberate dialogue and the uninterrupted delivery of membership programs and work towards maintaining a neat clean safe and well-organized area at all other duties as bring:Nationally recognized group fitness certification (CALA Can Fit Pro or YMCA etc.)Standard First Aid and CPR C CertificationResponsible for maintaining re-certification and yearly Continuing Education Credits Experience Instructing fitness classesExperience instructing childrenExcellent oral and written communication skillsComputer Literate/Systems Management Willingness to participate in mandated training to be completed before or shortly after commencement of work including:AODA TrainingHealth & Safety Awareness TrainingBill 168 (Violence & Harassment in the Workplace) TrainingPCI ComplianceWHMISChild Safeguarding TrainingWhy work for the Y:At the YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka we believe in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members and staff.
