Testing Specialist PCL

WHAT YOULL DO:

Role:

CoolIT Systems Inc. is hiring a full-timeTest Specialist (Mechanical/PCL)to lead passive cold plate loop and vertical rack manifold testing and qualification this role you will develop and execute test plans to verify productsmeetinternal and customer requirements. You will analyze hardware and software specifications design test strategies and evaluate the performance and reliability of electromechanical systems. Responsibilities include conducting temperature pressure flow and mechanical stress testsidentifyingdesign issues troubleshooting failures through root cause analysis and supporting engineering improvements. You will alsoassistwith test equipment developmentcomponentselection technical documentation and detailed reporting of test results and recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Design develop and implementNPIproduct validation and qualification test plansfor thermal and fluid-cooling systems focusing on cold plates manifolds seals and electromechanical assemblies.
• Apply heat transferand thermodynamicsprinciples and knowledge to interpret thermal tests for liquid-cooled components.
• Understand hardware and software requirements and design documents to develop comprehensive test strategies and procedures.
• Design and evaluate validation protocols includingHALT thermal pressure mechanical flow (PQ) thermal performance (RQ) and packaging integrity testing.
• Investigate failure modes including fatigue corrosion creep thermal cycle degradationand manufacturing defects.
• Perform risk assessmentsbased onbill of material designreviewsmanufacturingprocessesand other available engineering documents toqualifyproducts.
• Conduct materialcompatibilityevaluations on metals elastomers polymers fittings and surface-finished components.
• Prepare technical reports and validation documentation to support engineering release and customer approval.
• Analyze test data tovalidatedesign performance and recommend design improvements to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Conduct root cause analysis of test failures and coordinate cross-functional corrective actions.
• Exercise engineering judgment in technical dispositionanddecisions in collaboration withcross functional teams.
• Provide technical guidanceandtrainingto technicians and technologists.
• Maintain test logs records and reports in alignment with internal processes.
• Ensure compliance with all lab safety requirements and best practices.

WHO YOU ARE:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering orotherrelevant field.
• Proven experience insolidworksdesign including 3D modeling detailed drawings assembly design and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• A minimum of 3 years ofengineering experience in a testing environment.
• Working knowledge of instrumentation including pressure transducers temperatures sensors flow sensors etc.
• Solid experience in setting up and using DAQs sensors and actuators for data-driven analysis.
• Experience in using diagnostic bench tools (oscilloscope power analyzer logic analyzer multimeter etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing testing and qualifying electro-mechanical parts and systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree is considered an asset.

• Familiarity with rack-level cooling infrastructure such as manifolds hoses quick disconnects and fittings.
