This program is pivotal in advancing the company's long-term environmental resilience, economic sustainability, and capacity for future growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic oversight of the program, ensuring its delivery within the approved scope, schedule, budget, and regulatory requirements. The role demands a senior executive with a proven track record in delivering large-scale capital programs, particularly in complex, high-accountability environments. A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is required, with a professional designation such as P.Eng., PMP, or an equivalent credential being an asset. The Chief Project Officer will work closely with various stakeholders, including city leadership, government partners, regulators, consultants, contractors, and funding agencies, to bring clarity, alignment, and disciplined decision-making to the program. The ideal candidate for the Chief Project Officer position at the company will have 10 to 15 years' of progressive leadership experience, with a focus on major projects valued at $500 million or more. Expertise in project delivery, procurement, contract administration, construction management, commissioning, financial stewardship, and risk management is essential. The role requires a leader who can operate with strategic judgment, credibility, and influence in a public-sector context, and who is adept at building trust and leading multidisciplinary teams through complex and changeable environments. Experience in wastewater treatment, environmental infrastructure, or major public-sector capital programs is a strong asset.
