A well-established Alberta law firm is seeking a lawyer to join its growing practice in Red Deer. This opportunity is open to both litigators and solicitors with experience or interest in family law, wills & estates, and/or real estate matters.

The firm is flexible in structuring the role and is particularly interested in candidates who are interested in building a long-term practice within a collaborative regional platform.

The Opportunity

This is a broad-based role offering exposure to both solicitor and litigation work, depending on the candidate’s background and interests.

The firm is open to:

• Lawyers interested in a mixed practice

• Litigators with family law experience

• Solicitors focused on wills & estates and/or real estate

• Candidates seeking flexibility, including remote work arrangements for real estate-focused practices

Key Responsibilities

• Manage files independently while collaborating with colleagues across practice areas

• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings (where applicable)

• Draft agreements, pleadings, estate planning documents, and transactional materials

• Maintain strong client relationships and provide practical legal advice

• Contribute to the firm’s collaborative and client-focused culture

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in one or more of family, wills & estates, or real estate law

• Ability to independently manage files and client relationships

• Strong communication, organization, and drafting skills

• Interest in practicing in Red Deer or remotely for solicitor-side real estate work

• Professional, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset
