Priority Patient Transfer Service i s hiring an Operations Manager for our Non Emergency Medical Transport division In Ottawa Ontario.
Your Role :
Reporting directly to the General Manager Priority Patient Transfer the Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day activity of two main locations Ottawa and Kingston. The Operations Manager will track Key Performance Indicators be the first point of contact for the customer ensure efficiency and effectiveness and provide leadership and direction to operations team in each location.
Primary Responsibilities
1. People Management
- Directs the activities of staff ensuring ongoing work quality monitoring workloads and ensuring activities continue to be managed during staff vacation / sick leaves
- Monitors performance of staff providing work direction coaching and feedback determining methods and procedures to be used resolving problems identifying opportunities for development and training and providing performance review input
- Monitors employee engagement and implements process for improvement
2. Operations
Monitors recruitment requirements based on call volumesReports incidents and collisions to Health and SafetyPromotes safe work activities by conducting safety audits attending safety meetings and meeting with individual staff membersConducts walk-about at client facilitiesConduct investigations in cooperation with governing agencies to determine causes of any concernsEnsure operating costs are within annual budget3. Vehicle Reporting
Reports maintenance requirements to the garageEnsures efficient vehicle utilization4. Customer Service
Conducts regular customer review meetingsMakes sure the client experience is being held to the highest of standards while increasing customer satisfaction and engagement;Delivers quality customer service and recommends operational improvements when neededMonitor Contract KPIs to ensure performance is compliant with contract standardsRequirements
Your Profile :
You posses a University / College Degree or EquivalentYou bring minimum 3 years supervisory / management experience in the transportation industry health care industry or any related fieldYour experience in non-emergency patient transportation preferredYour experience with Healthcare Accreditation Process preferredYou posses experience with Healthcare IPAC compliance managementYou bring experience in budgeting and P&L managementYour valid FR or equivalent certification would be an asset along with current First Aid / CPR or BLS certificationYou can provide a copy of your current immunization records and are willing to acquire any outstanding vaccinations required for the rolenote Covid -19 minimum 2 doses is required for this positionYou bring excellent organizational and problem-solving skillsYou posses effective communication skills (both written and verbal)You are available to work flexible hours including outside regular business hoursYou posses strong knowledge in all Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Power BI)You are comfortable presenting in front of the groupYou posses a clean Drivers Abstract and Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable SectorYou have proven excellent customer service experienceYou have strong planning and time management skills and the ability to effectively handle a variety of tasks simultaneouslyYou have excellent leadership skillsYou have the ability to manage stress under tight deadlinesYou possess a minimum full G class drivers licenceYou must be willing to travel between all base locations in the Ottawa to Kingston region and surrounding areas as required.Benefits
