We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Tax to lead consolidated financial reporting, tax compliance, treasury oversight, and audit coordination for a complex, multi-entity organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and compliance of financial reporting and enterprise tax obligations, while supporting strong governance, internal controls, and informed business decision-making.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong accounting leader with deep experience in financial reporting, tax, treasury, and audit management, along with a proven ability to mentor teams and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team through effective performance management and ongoing coaching
- Partner with other accounting leaders to complete cross-functional and interdepartmental deliverables on time
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Oversee monthly and quarterly consolidation and close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Prepare, review, and approve consolidated financial statements in accordance with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
- Lead the preparation of quarterly financial reporting packages, including management discussion and analysis, for executive and audit committee review
Tax Compliance & Planning
- Oversee corporate and indirect tax compliance, including filings and remittances
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate submissions
- Support tax planning initiatives aligned with broader organizational objectives
Cash Flow
- Oversee treasury activities, including cash flow reporting and short- and long-term forecasting
- Monitor banking requirements, covenant compliance, and related reporting
- Provide reliable cash flow insights to support strategic and operational decision-making
Qualifications
- CPA designation required
- 10+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, and tax experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, ASPE, tax compliance, and board-level reporting
- Experience with an ERP is considered an asset
