ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYAs the Director of Finance youll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy integrity and efficiency of Genoas financial operations. You will oversee the full accounting cycle managing day-to-day financial treasury and accounting functions while leading the development of annual budgets and financial reporting. With a strong emphasis on internal controls and operational excellence youll support strategic decision-making and champion continuous improvement across financial RESPONSIBILITIESOversee the revenue recognition process across multiple projects in both Canadian and U.S. currencies including the review of schedules for Work in Progress (WIP) and Deferred and strengthen internal financial controls and processes; identify areas for improvement and implement new controls to mitigate internal financial reports and dashboards to support informed in operational meetings and assist with the execution of Genoas broader organizational strategic analysis and recommendations to support financial and communicate financial insights to members of the executive the annual audit process leading communication and coordination with external the month-end and year-end close processes ensuring accurate and timely financial the preparation of quarterly Board annual corporate tax filings offer support on corporate tax issues and oversee compliance with tax and regulatory with the CFO to coordinate Genoas financial planning budgeting and reforecasting support and manage the performance and professional development of the Finance and Accounting Team. Take on additional duties as required to support the Finance & Accounting Team and YOUDegree or diploma in Finance/Accounting with 8-10 years of experience in finance and designation is -depth understanding of ASPE financial reporting Microsoft Office skills specifically in Excel and PowerPoint.
