Join BGC Saskatoons Neighbourhood Club team as a Program Leader.
Our Neighbourhood Club Programs are free, community-based programs offered in targeted schools with high percentages of low-income families. Program Leaders work up to 15 hours per week and are assigned to one of our Confederation Park, Pleasant Hill, or White Buffalo Club locations. Shifts are scheduled on weekday afternoons, typically between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., with start times varying based on the school site. All shifts include a minimum three-hour paid call-out.
As a Program Leader, you will help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. We're looking for dependable, caring individuals who enjoy working with children and can adapt to the unique needs of participants each day.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and lead engaging activities that support child development.
- Supervise groups of children and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Use positive behaviour guidance techniques.
- Build positive relationships with children and youth.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers.
- Collaborate with program staff, supervisors, and school personnel.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and eligible to work in Canada. CPR/First Aid certification and High Five PHCD certification are required; CLB Level 6+ is preferred.
Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted after August 4, 2026. Successful candidates must attend a mandatory training and orientation in late August.
