Skills:
1. Windows Server & Active Directory Expertise Enterprise‑scale experience with Windows Server platforms, AD, IIS, clustering, and virtualization.
Strong understanding of Windows Server 2008 → latest.
2. Azure Cloud (IaaS/PaaS) & Migration Experience Hands‑on experience with Azure Cloud services.
Experience with Azure Migrate, ASR, ARM templates, and public cloud implementation for enterprise customers.
3. PowerShell Scripting & Infrastructure Automation Demonstrated scripting skills (PowerShell).
Experience automating infrastructure and working with IaC concepts.
Must-Have** (Ideally should not be more than 3-5)
1) Expertise in Windows and/or Linux Server Administration-Strong knowledge of OS installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
2) Virtualization Technologies-Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms for server virtualization.
3) Server Architecture & Design-Ability to design scalable, secure, and high-availability server environments.
4) Storage and Backup Solutions-Familiarity with SAN/NAS, backup tools, and disaster recovery planning.
5) Networking Fundamentals-Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and integration with server infrastructure.
Good-to-Have
1) Cloud Platform Experience-Familiarity with Azure, AWS, and or Google Cloud for hybrid or cloud-native server deployments.
2) Automation & Scripting-Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automating server tasks and configurations.
3) Containerization Technologies-Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for modern application deployment and orchestration.
4) Security Best Practices-Understanding of server hardening, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks.
5) Performance Monitoring & Optimization-Experience with tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace or Prometheus for proactive server health monitoring.
6) Experience with Configuration Management Tools-Exposure to Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub for infrastructure as code.
