At CIMA+, we give you the freedom and flexibility to manage your work on your own terms and the opportunity to work on projects you can relate to.

Welcome to CIMA+

CIMA+’s Infrastructure team combines top‑night skills with an intimate understanding of the local community to deliver customized infrastructure services for municipalities and real‑estate developers. We have delivered hundreds of projects across Canada, including innovative solutions for the full spectrum of water and wastewater assets, on time and on budget. We support clients from start to finish, whether for building brand new or assessing, repairing, and expanding on existing infrastructure. Join us and immerse yourself in a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative environment where you’ll make a real impact. Together, we’ll push boundaries and go above what’s expected of us to meet the challenges of tomorrow and engineer a better world!

Our offices in Western Canada are in the middle of a large growth trajectory. This means new, exciting complex projects that you will have the ability to shape and be a part of. We are actively looking for people who want to develop their skillsets, take on new challenges, and advance their careers within the organization.

Grow your career by becoming part of a dynamic team as a Senior Project Engineer within our Infrastructure sector. You will work on diverse projects related to land development, municipal, water and wastewater markets in the Alberta & Saskatchewan regions and across Canada within an excellent mentorship network.

You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, options to work from home and in our Calgary office.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage project teams through all phases of project planning, design, construction, and commissioning of municipal projects (renewal, potable, waste and storm water).
  • Be supported by technical experts from multiple disciplines including structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, and civil to successfully deliver projects.
  • Manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA+ to meet client expectations.
  • Prepare and supervise engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans and contract documents, cost estimates, and construction documents.
  • Provide subdivision application review and comment services on behalf of Municipal clients.
  • Lead and assist in the pursuit of new projects, including the development of technical scope workplans, schedule, project team organization, and task‑level budgets.
  • Build relationships with existing and potential clients; liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders and contractors.
  • Coordinate and mentor intermediate and junior staff on fundamentals of project delivery and general project management skills.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta and /or Saskatchewan.
  • Minimum 10 years of directly applicable experience in working with land development and/or municipal clients in engineering or project management roles, with a focus on Alberta and Saskatchewan clients.
  • Proven experience in managing project teams on small, medium, and large consulting projects.
  • Proven track record of successful business development, and of fostering client relationships.
  • Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence

At CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective. You think you can add value, but don't meet all the job requirements? We invite you to apply, because everyone has something unique to offer. The outstanding talents that choose to join us at CIMA+ soon realize that we go all out to encourage them to grow. We look forward to hearing how you can contribute to our success.

Why choose CIMA+? Because we offer you:

  • Comprehensive Group Benefits available from day one for all permanent employees working at least 20 hours per week
  • Employee and Family Assistance Program
  • Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with up to 4% employer contribution
  • As an employee‑owned company, an annual opportunity to purchase shares for all eligible employees
  • Work/Life balance policy across Canada
  • 3-5 weeks of vacation, based on years of relevant experience
  • Tailored training to improve your existing skills

At CIMA+, we recognize the richness and diversity of each individual’s experience. Compensation for this role is therefore based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, while maintaining internal equity. The level and associated salary may vary depending on the candidate’s profile.

CIMA+ uses an applicant tracking system that includes an automated match score feature. However, this score is not used to screen, assess, or select applicants. All hiring decisions are made through human review.

Ethics and integrity are fundamental values at CIMA+. That is why we are committed to ensuring equal access to resources and opportunities for candidates, regardless of their identity (race, ethnicity, colour, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, socio‑economic status or background, etc.).

In keeping with the principles of employment equity, we encourage all applications, including, but not limited to, those from women, Indigenous peoples, people with disabilities and visible minorities. We also encourage candidates to complete the self‑identification form when applying for employment.

Accommodations are available on request. Your Business Partner will process your request.
