Cross Dock Operator

Key Responsibilities
Load & Unload: Efficiently move LTL freight using a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift.

Maximize Space & Weight: Strategically load trailers to ensure perfect weight distribution and secure transport.

Dock Flow Management: Maintain a smooth, organized flow of freight across the cross-dock.

Independent Execution: Take ownership of the floor, prioritize tasks, and hit deadlines with minimal supervision.

Safety First: Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure freight is handled undamaged.

What We’re Looking For
Certified Pro: Must hold a valid Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift ticket.

Cross-Dock Experience: Proven experience in a fast-paced cross-dock or LTL transportation environment is highly preferred.

Spatial Awareness: A strong understanding of trailer configurations and how to safely maximize cube space.

Reliable & Self-Driven: Someone who shows up on time, works hard, and doesn't need to be watched to get the job done.

Responsibilities
• Operate electric sit-down counterbalance forklifts in a busy cross dock/LTL environment
• Use stand-up stock picker equipment to pick and put away product
• Load, unload, move, and organize freight and product safely and efficiently
• Stock loose pick bins and pick customer orders accurately
• Re-barcode cases and return products to high bay storage
• Assist with inventory put-away during delivery days (800–1200 cases shared across team)
• Perform daily and weekly warehouse cleaning duties
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and operational guidelines
• Work closely with team members in a fast-paced warehouse setting

Qualifications
• Valid forklift certification for both reach truck and sit-down counterbalance forklifts
• Previous cross dock, LTL, warehouse, or freight handling experience preferred
• Experience operating electric forklifts required
• Physically fit and able to lift/move boxes up to 50 lbs consistently
• Strong English communication skills required
• Detail-oriented with strong teamwork abilities
• Must have reliable transportation as the location is not accessible by transit
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high daily volume demands
