Job description

Are you a detail-oriented professional in the logistics and supply chain management sector? We are seeking a highly organized Purchaser with Inventory support and to join a growing team in Winnipeg. As a Purchasing/ Inventory Coordinator , you will have full ownership of the year-end inventory process, ensuring that all counts and reconciliations meet the high standards of the organization. Beyond inventory, you will provide essential purchasing support by communicating with vendors and tracking orders to prevent shortages.

We are seeking a Full-Time Purchasing/ Inventory Coordinator who thrives under pressure and enjoys the fast-paced nature of a high-volume work setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide and manage purchasing activities
- Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, pricing, and delivery timelines
- Track and follow up on purchase orders
- Maintain vendor records and assist with supplier coordination- Verify and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents
- Maintain highly accurate inventory records and track all material movements within the facility.
- Perform regular cycle counts and periodic physical audits to ensure system accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels across 5,000+ items to identify shortages, excess, or obsolete inventory.
- Oversee proper storage, labeling, and organization of products on the warehouse floor.



Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, or business management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail with the ability to resolve inventory discrepancies and vendor issues.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal departments, brokers, and external vendors.
- Ability to work independently and lead specific tasks with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain best practices.
