Paediatric Physiotherapist

PermanentPart-Time

Location: Barrie Midland Orillia & Penetang

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicatedHome and Community Paediatric Physiotherapistto join our team. As a vital member of our organization you will be responsible for providing specialized physiotherapy care to pediatric patients in the comfort of their homes and within community settings. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families by facilitating their physical development and well-being.

What you will be doing:

  • You will conduct comprehensive developmental and functional assessments creating individualized familycentered therapy care plans.

  • Provide physiotherapy to children with complex neurological and musculoskeletal needs in home and community settings adjusting interventions as they progress.

  • Recommend mobility aids and adaptive equipment based on each childs developmental safety and functional requirements.

The successful Physiotherapist will:

  • Have a current active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in good standing
  • Previous Pediatric experience is preferred
  • ADP Authorizer or willingness to be trained is preferred
  • Have knowledge of legislation regulations and policies applicable to practice
  • Have knowledge of principles of reflective practice
  • Use a systematic approach to decision making during the development implementation and evaluation of the physiotherapy care plan
  • Be able to manage time and workload effectively
  • Ensure appropriate and secure documentation
  • Be able to work within a flexible schedule and adaptable environment
  • Have the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position.
  • Have a valid Drivers License and reliable insured vehicle
  • Have vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) within 12 months of hire (or in process) with a current Criminal Records Check
  • Ability to speak French will be an asset
